The Astronettes set the meeting at the cabin for 11:45 the deadline for the hunt was high noon and they now sweatily trudged in, having been up since sunrise combing the jungle for the scavenger hunt items.
"So," self-appointed team leader Ziggy said excitedly, "Who's found what?"
"I found Number One, the autograph," said David as he laid a signed LP of Little Richard's Greatest Hits on the wooden dining table.
"I found Number Four, the bag of cocaine," said Screamin' Lord Byron. "I think I just beat the Thin White Duke to it
"I found some models of satellites I think that's what Number Eleven was
" said Major Tom.
"I found Number Fourteen, the copy of 1984," said Julian Priest. "First edition too
"I found this pretty star," said Pierrot as he placed a gold pendant on the table. "That's Number Nine
"I found these silly platform boots," said Serious Moonlight, "so that's Number Eight
"I beg your pardon!" said Ziggy, who flushed red for a moment before pulling out his findings. "Anyway, I found Numbers Five and Seven the guitar and the gun. So, did our Anthean teammate find anything?"
Newton had been staring down at something in his hands and was almost startled by Ziggy's question. "Oh, I'm sorry - I found Number Three
" He carefully placed two delicate silver bracelets, ones just like David's back in the heady days of glam rock when he was married to his first wife upon the table. "Tokens of love
"Well," Ziggy said, "That's nine items! I think we've got those Diamond Dogs beat! Let's head over to the tribal circle to show the producers our treasures
Only Pierrot noticed Newton hesitating to pick up the bracelets. He gently placed a hand on his shoulder a gesture of kindness from one otherworldly creature to another and said, "You did a fine job. You're a good teammate and you'll go far here. Come along
Newton took up the bracelets and they filed out with the others
